Amar, Verbo Instransitivo

Love, Intransitive Verb

I'm the bartender Andrea. I have been working with cocktails for just over a year, since September 2020, in a bar in the city of Francisco Beltrão, Greens Gastrodrinks. I started as a bartender and after a while I became head bartender. I've already carried out a bar consultancy and together with my colleague from work I created an authorial drink letter for this 2022

My inspiration comes from literature, cinema and many other elements. Art itself is very present in my life and I always try to combine this with my work. This is how "Love, an intransive verb" appears, aiming to reconcile two important pillars for me within the bar, Brazilian literature together with ingredients from our culture, a drink inspired by embracing our country through cachaça, guava, colonial wine and a few more spices, this is what I would like to convey throughout my journey as a bartender: art, because without it, life is not enough.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 30ml guava syrup*
  • 50ml Pindorama cachaça infusion**
  • 15ml reduced wine***
  • 10ml lemon

*Syrup / 150g of guava paste to 300ml of water, 10 minutes on high heat, when it starts to bubble, keep stirring to acquire a firmer consistency

**Infusion / 250ml cachaça with two apricots, two cinnamon and two black pepper for 2 days.

***Colonial dry wine (150 ml) for 50g of sugar, 10 minutes over medium heat in a high pan, stirring slowly when it starts to bubble

Method of preparation

In a cocktail shaker, add plenty of ice, all liquid ingredients and shake. Double strain into a coupe glass, use a bamboo toothpick to skewer a small square of guava and cheese, finish with rosemary.
