The Absolute

Pedro Nascimento - I started my journey behind the bar 9 years ago, initially working only on weekends, as it was just supposed to be a supplement to my income. Little did I know! In these 9 years, there were 6 houses as a permanent fixture and some consultancies through Grupo Mixta, a company that I represent here in SP. Starting as a bar back, I worked my way up and improved to reach the position of head bartender that I hold today. I often say that we don't get anywhere alone, so I'm grateful to have found many good people who believed in my professional potential. Each one of them, in some way, made me better!

Vik Muniz is an internationally recognized Brazilian plastic artist who works with unusual materials. Chocolate, sugar, peanut butter, coffee, grape jelly and reusable products are some of its main raw materials. His creations carry a strong social concern and the future of the environment. It was from him and his works that I sought inspiration to develop my cocktail for the Pindorama (The absolute) challenge. Ingredients

50ml Pindorama cachaça

30ml peanut butter syrup (Double Monalisa raw material)

40ml Niagara grape cordial (Double Monalisa raw material)

3 dash's craft beer with coffee, chocolate and caramel (Sugar Children, John Lennon and Paparazzi raw materials)

7.5ml Fernet Branca (personal touch)

Method of preparation

Shake in a cocktail shaker Serve in a recyclable aluminum can (Extraordinary Waste raw material) Garnish: Peanut butter biscuit dipped in semisweet chocolate (made from what remains from the production of peanut butter syrup) and an edible flower that sprouts from the recyclable trash.
